(Code – IAP01)

For Indian lawyers to successfully compete in the global marketplace, they must have the skills to negotiate effectively, and to resolve disputes outside the courtroom, lessening hostilities that interfere with ongoing business operations and relationships. Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation (IIAM) in association with the highly ranked Dispute Resolution Institute at Hamline University School of Law (HUSL), ranked in the top four of American law school dispute resolution programs (“America’s Best Graduate Schools,” U.S. News & World Report, 2007 Edition), offers Indian lawyers the opportunity to pursue post graduation or research in ADR and IP on scholarship. The course offers rigorous academic discourse, hands-on stimulation experience and cross-disciplinary examination of ADR themes in domestic study and study abroad courses for lawyers.

With option to have one module in the UK, this LL.M program in the emerging field of dispute resolution, offers the opportunity to obtain a top quality United States LL.M degree and a Certificate in Global Arbitration Law. American, European and Indian students will work side-by-side in the classroom in these intensive courses, all taught by prominent members of the transborder arbitration bar and leaders in the academic discipline.

As per IIAM Mediator Accreditation System, a candidate with US LL.M on ADR is categorised as Grade B Mediator. For details on IIAM Accreditation system and QAP.

As a special benefit of the IIAM/HUSL association, a select group of students are admitted to the US LL.M Program on a substantial scholarship toward tuition.

Study International Commercial Arbitration in London, England

Six credit Certificate Program in Global Arbitration Law & Practice, venued in London is done by HUSL in cooperation with the School of International Arbitration, Queen Mary University of London, widely acknowledged as the leading research center on international arbitration in Europe, and arguably the world.

In addition, London, as the home of the London Court of International Arbitration, offers unparalleled opportunities for interaction with the world's leading commercial arbitrators and arbitration advocates.
