Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation is a non-profit organization registered under the TC Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955. The institute was formed by a group of professionals and businessmen in the year 2001.
Advisory Board
The legal and ethical aspects of IIAM are guided and advised by the IIAM Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board is headed by Hon'ble Mr. Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah, Former Chief Justice of India and Former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, India.
The other members of the Board are:
Hon'ble Mr. Justice B.K. Somasekhara, Former Judge, High Courts of Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh and presently visiting Professor, National Law School, Bangalore;
Dr. N.L. Mitra, Former Vice-Chancellor, National Law School, Jodhpur.
Governing Body:
The general administration and policy aspects of the institution is decided by the Governing Body, based on the guidelines of the Advisory Board.
